You and I simply do not line up on who is worth $16 million.

The economics of baseball changed with the economic collapse of 2008. When the average team payroll is $92 million, a sixth of it goes to a player only when that guy is an absolute stud. Roy Oswalt and his 3.7 ERA from 2008-2010 absolutely does not qualify under that umbrella. Fiscal practicality is the lay of the land in MLB right now.
