irony, if they hadn't pushed so hard on the publicity trying to shove the photos down the throats of the media she probably wouldn't have ever known and the debate would have gone on in elitiest archivists and collectors circles for years, and they could have sold thousands of books and prints.
another irony, if they did indeed prove them to be adams work, the adams trust would have total control over their copyright.
it would have easy to prove if the images were taken by adam's camera as they would have fingerprint like nicks and imperfections typical of handmade wood framing of the plate holders, similar to tool markings, bullet markings.
