I'm sure you are all just *dying* to hear about my new job.

I've been here for 3 days now, but my 30 day review was already set up for the end of August. My supervisor came over to ask me if I had seen the email notification (I had already accepted it, but whatever) and I mentioned to her that I really was trying to do my work/learn as quickly as possible.

her: Well, if there are any issues, you will hear about them LONG before the reviews. We don't wait to tell you that kind of stuff. We'll let you know if there is a problem right away.

me: I'm really hoping I am doing well here...I'm nervous that I'm not picking up quick enough.

her: Well, Frankie (my teammate/trainer) is going to start training you on [something new] starting next week.

me: Is that a normal progression?

her: Umm, that's *very* quick. Trust me, we have NO problems with you right now. You are doing VERY well.

(yay.)

Even though there are a ton of perks to this job - no phone on the desk and no net access is KILLING me. It's probably a good thing, production wise, but yikes, I'm not used to that! (There are 15 or so allowed web sites, and they are all medical/hospital sites.)
