Has anyone here ever used a service that helps you create a stronger resume (for a fee)?

I had an offer from one such company to give me their free consultation - and they ripped my resume to shreds. They are now offering to help me build a better resume, for a $200 fee.
Just wondering if this is a good price for something like this.

also, ask for (and check) copious references before you pay anyone to do *anything* with your resume. not from the company, but from the individual

there are people here who might be able to help you equally as well. I would say that exhausting your free resources before paying is smart.
