judgments are usually enforceable for a specific term (like 20 years, but i don't know what that term is in Pennsylvania). if he declares bankruptcy

that opens up a whole can of worms. if that happens, she definitely needs to talk to a bankruptcy attorney of her own to protect her interests. the mortgage holder, as a secured creditor, gets paid off first. her, to the extent she would have an unsecured claim against him for any monies owed, gets in line with the credit card company, and everyone else for pennies on the dollar
