The false tension of will the bulb explode before the bad guy pulls the trigger scene.
Fiona was free. Are you telling me she's suddenly lost the ability to take a guy out quietly and then get the drop on baddy number 2? Because she's done that a number of times in the past.
This was a "we have a cool "spy trick" we want to use" scene that went against what we know about a character's abilities.
