Smaller companies are nicer to work for, but everyone expendable, no matter what the size of the company.

I say if you're comfortable and enjoy your current job, then hang out and see if this other company continues to recruit you. If you're not liking your job, then jump ship.

(It doesn't entice me to go somewhere else to get more direct reports - i.e. headaches - for *less* money.)
