well sean

I am very frustrated at the current job. In my career path direct reports are kind of key to career advancement. Here I work directly for the COO and CEO and thats nice and I am building process and procedure and doing lots of data analysis but thats not what I really planned on being.

They pretty much were talking that they would make me VP of Support and Services but well that hasnt happened yet - they keep talkig about it but I think are afraid some of the staff would leave since well those staff dont like accountability.

Here is an example. I informed the director of support one of his support managers wasnt following a process we all agreed upon in a meeting because she told the staff member it was onconvienent. He should have told her to follow the process because we all agreed. Instead he told her to follow the process so she didnt pop up on my report and make me bug him..thats crap.

Just the general unwillingness of the staff to do whats right and propensity to whine a lot.

The financial instability worries me a lot at times as how long can I drive new processes and system enhancements before maybe they are content and I am an expensive luxury.

I do like being super causal at work here (small company) shorts and a polo most days in the summer - flexible schedule etc but I sorta feel bored just crunching numbers and not having the power to truly make them great vs good - if that makes sense
