In response to "No Mad Men talk this morning? (spoilers)" by amoxy

it's pretty clear

that Don has lost his "Don-ness" everything about him that was powerful, charming, or sexy in the past is now rendering him a pathetic character. too much booze, reduced to the cliched boss sleeping with his secretary.

i don't think he's really much of a different person (arguably, he was just as pathetic when he was seemingly on top of the world as the company's golden boy and had the appearances of a wonderful home life with Betty). it will be interesting to see if he can take Dr. Faye's insight to heart -- that he is just as much a type as everyone else he tries to sell things to -- and change before the rest of the world leaves him behind.

the only difference between him and Freddy Rumsen is 20 years
