His was just a little 20-foot thing... he was not in that top 5%, but we saw a lot of super-fancy rich-people boats. There's plenty down in Seward, for that matter.
Imagine all the people involved in building, maintaining, and helping sail those big boats. Then all the people who distribute and pump the fuel it uses, maintain the dock it uses, manufacture the hull polish and barnacle-remover, etc...
I'm not arguing for letting the top 5% keep all their money or anything. But the ripple effect of their spending is pretty dramatic, IMO.
