When my brother rented a lot for work, I think he usually did, at least at first.

And his rationale was something along the lines of how cheap it was, and how much it would reduce the hassle of coordinating it with other insurance after the fact, plus the value of his peace of mind knowing it wouldn't be his problem, made it worth it to him. Or something like that.
