I had a blast at Joshua Tree. Thank you BAD and Mojave for suggesting things to see. Also, it would be a mafic paradise

The park is one of a kind. Much of the landscape is bizarre, like something out of a sci fi movie. Very interesting rock formations and all kinds of plant life you've never seen before. Key's View was spectacular. We didn't make it to barker Dam. We actually didn't see any of the old settlements. Just pure nature. Ever have a deafening, all-encompassing silence? Imagine being out in a desert like that, but the place is full of plant and animal life. The wind was low, so that was good for the not freezing our butts off.
