on new year's day 5 years ago or so, my friend angie (age 30 at the time and quite healthy), who did not go out or drink a drop on NYE, had extreme vertigo, was throwing up, very sick. her neighbor took her to the ER, where they simply did not believe that she didn't drink the night before and sent her home. she continued to worsen, and the neighbor took her back. same thing. finally towards evening, she couldn't even walk. friend took her down to harborview where she was found to be having a stroke. she was in the hospital for months, and it took her a good two years to really recover.
effers.
