Guys, I'm shopping for a used car, is it unreasonable for me to limit myself to cars with a recent inspection report I can look at?

A lot of sellers don't seem to want to provide this, but I can't afford to be taking a bunch of different cars into my mechanic to have them checked out. Any other tips on buying used? I just need a decent highway car for myself so my wife can have the Mazda 5 back. With Subby the 3rd on the way in less than 2 months, one vehicle is just not cutting it.
