now that i think about it, do we know for a fact that he *was* blind?
just b/c the bible was in braile, you make the assumption that he was blind.
but he could have just had the bible memorized.
or he could have had sight and been able to read braile.
is there anything within the film itself that definitively said that Eli was blind?
