8K cheaper than Volt. Like I said, Volt is overpriced. (Yes, Volt is gas+electice) -- nm

partially? 95% of my annual driving is within the electric range of the volt. That's substantially more than "partially". -- nm

I'm certainly not supporting it. I'm just saying if 95% of your driving is within that range, it seems like a cheap alternative.

Yeah, the range would have to be huge for all-electric; alternatively, the charge time would have to be instantaneous. -- nm

Well, not necessarily instantaneous. But not much longer than a gas fillup. 5 minutes would be nice. -- nm

I'd settle for 30. If you're driving somewhere longer than 500 miles, you can stop for lunch/dinner and charge your car. -- nm

Well, mostly because I'm not in the market for a new car - the current one is too small as is :)
