and has hit 6 homers at all star break, no one will trade for him and take on that salary.
Responses:
Fine. It's one season. The Jays have over $40M coming off of the books next season.

I never heard anything serious beyond AA was asking top price for him and Downs, with only slightly less for Fraser and Buck.

I guess. AA seems like a smart guy, but he did trade for that CF who can't hit. (nm)

Jury's out, but for the fact that his moves have hit fairly well thus far, I'm going to assume that there might be something there.

They're not. Everyone involved (JB, AA, locals) acknowledge...Arb this season. If he does well, trade or big contract next summer. -- nm

Seems reasonable to me. Maybe he has "figured it out".

Exactly. And if he does well next year and walks... Two First Rounders to the Jays. That has to be worth something too, right? -- nm

With this season, he's most likely a Type B at worst, so still worth a pick. (nm)

Wells is a butcher in the OF now though, and he doesn't have the position flexibility of Bautista.

We're stuck with Wells at least another two seasons. I figure 2013 is the hand-off year. -- nm
