My oldest daughter said she really didn't know who John Lennon was the other day while playing Beatles Rock Band. It got me thinking

that we need to school her (good) musically one day.
I was thinking of having her listen to The Beatles (60's), then Led Zeppelin (60's/70's), then The Eagles (70's), then I was a bit stumped for after that.
Some Disco? I was thinking Madonna and Run D.M.C. for the 80's? Nirvana & Pearl Jam for the 90's?

if you are going to "school her (good) musically", who are you going to send her to live with?

Add in some variant of a hair band for the 80's....maybe some Randy Travis for saving country in the 80's. -- nm

Isn't that natural? IIRC, you've said you hate the Beatles. :) -- nm

I wouldn't bother. It'd be like parents in the 1960's trying to introduce to their kids the hip music from the 1920's.

I'm not sure how you can school her on good music if you make her listen to the Beattles...

Why? So she can know a bunch of stuff her friends won't care about?
