this was new-to-me:

costco has some restaurant gift cards for sale, most are $79.99 for $100 value. before purchasing, make sure to check if they say they're usuable combined with other offers/coupons/discounts, if you're into those kinds of things.

the ones for chevy's, at least, are not - as I learned upon post-purchase reading of the small print on them! d'oh!
