My library director was (apparently) reading a newsletter and came across the title of a book she wanted to read. Did she check our catalog? (It's

online, there's a search box on the front page of our website, our website I can almost guarantee you is the designated "home" page in her browser.)

No, she did not. She asked her secretary to find out if we had the book.

Did her secretary check the website? No, she did not. She walked some 1000 feet, maybe, from her office on 3rd floor, down a floor, and into a different part of the building to get to the reference desk on 2nd floor, where I was sitting, to ask me to look in the catalog. Which I did. And told her the book was on a different floor.

(It could just as easily have been checked out.)
