The Kids Are All Right: A (spoils)

I had to think about this a bit before I settled on a grade. It's a brilliantly acted movie - a slice of (different) life that doesn't go for a cutesy ending. I was sad with how Ruffalo's character ended up but not unhappy. I tried thinking how it could have ended better for him but can't find a non-cute resolution. My friend was all "that controlling bitch" (Bening's character. I thought she (and her relationship with Moore) was pretty "normal". The son needs to be smacked upside the head now & then, though. It was all his fault anyway. :)
