the first next-gen kids in my family were from two of my brothers - the very first one had too many people there from both sides and was obviously not what was best for the mom. I felt bad for her that there wasn't more control.
after that, she (and subsequent moms) laid things out as they chose to.
seeing what the moms go through is what made me know I should never be hurt, no matter what they decided. I have a lifetime to see the kidlets, in any case.
