If you're trying to go on the cheap...the Garden District and cemetery can be most of a day. AND....

the cemetery tours, while they point out specific tombs and give you a bunch of information and stuff...you really can do the same thing, on your own, for free.
Last time we were there we were going to join a tour at the last minute. $20/person. We passed.
5 minutes later, we're in the same cemetery as the tour we just didn't buy and hearing the same information...for free.
