5 for 2 is a lot, but I've offered 3 for 1 or 4 for 2 before where it would improve both teams.

That's the key in non-keeper leagues. A star by themselves cannot win you a fantasy league. You need overall balance on your roster and that type of trade *can* pay off for the other guy is his scrap really is scrap.
