my only point is, the draw of coke is closer to the draw of nicotine than the escapism of alcoholism and marijuana.

so, imo, you can be addicted to coke without having the sort of "i'm just an addict who will swallow anything i can get my hands on" problem y'all are talking about.
but maybe that person is pretty rare in practice. i dunno.
