and that's great for them. I envy them. But you cannot *create* that in me by nagging me and sending literature.

Her strategy could not be worse. a) I cannot stand people telling me what to think -- or more importantly, how to feel; and b) she plies me with brainless sentimental pabulum, instead of intellectually meaty stuff, which might actually work.
