I think Williams was already cut.

And Smith waived and signed to the practice squad.
They also picked up a rookie CB from Dallas, so they need to make room for him, too.
I thought Washington should have been used more last year. He didn't have a single drop. I would have preferred they re-signed him instead of giving Clayton another chance.
