We have a new Estonian female roommate and in just 3 days, she's already talked shit about another roommate's boyfriend (to her face too) and tried to

sequester the largest room and bed from the most senior roommate who has already been here for 1 year.

She's complaining that she hates seeing the same 5 people every day (we live 6 total) and "wants to get more involved with locals." Finally, this girl complains the windows aren't big enough, and the balcony is too small.

I just want to shake her and say, "Look, earn your props, take your window in the morning bathroom schedule, and keep your mouth shut or you're not going to have any friends here. And if you want to get more immersed, do it!"

What I don't get is how "immersed" she wants to get when she just belittles people all the time and can't seem to believe things like not everyone in this country is Muslim and/or fasting. She's read one too many guide books. Anyway, go out and do your own thing if you want to live local. I take solo weekend trips all the time. We all immerse in our own ways, so shut up and do it instead of just bitching about it.

3 days!
