After becoming more fed up with retail work, I quit my 5 year sentence as a manager and have embarked on a path to become a paralegal. Taking classes from Boston University online and set to have my paralegal certificate (to match with BA in Communication) by October. Networking into a completely new field and not being comfortable with networking makes this more work than the part-time job I have to help keep us afloat.
Bought a house last year. Wife lost her job around this time last year, but ended up in a better spot by November, Spurring me to want to move along as well. Son is 2 1/2 now, never stops running or talking. LOVES baseball, particularly the local minor league team. Wife taught him to chant I-CHI-RO and I taught him to hold his nose and say "stinky" when someone asks about the Yankees. He's so smart and funny. New baby coming on Monday. He swears it will be a baby sister, and will fight with anyone saying otherwise, but we're going to be surprised. He's very excited, and announced yesterday he is "done" waiting.
