I realize our freedom to be douches is what makes us great, and we shouldn't sacrifice the freedoms, but... is this part of what pisses off the Muslim world about the US? That we can say we're against something all we want, but are powerless (or toothless) to actually prevent it from happening within our borders?

Just talking out loud here.
