just the radio accounts were heart-clenchingly awful on the way home. adding the visual is even worse.

those poor people and critters. :( - within a mile or so of the actual explosion (now being confirmed as a high-pressyre gas line explosion with the relevant company hoping to turn the gas off in the next half hour or so) there was a local elementary school having a back to school night with just parents in attendance. there likely were kids home alone.
I saw 3 fire-supervisor type trucks with lights/sirens going on a local highway, so they're calling people in from quite a ways away. it's *huge*. :( -
