They are rare and occur more often in immune-compromised patients.

She was not immune-compromised and a bit too young to get it. So I guess that makes it even rarer.

I am not sure what her prognosis is (I didn't talk to her doc). Wiki told me that the prognosis in general for such a tumor is 4 years. However, I haven't looked at the med books yet so I can't confirm if that is indeed the typical prognosis.
