Our pet bed story...

We got one for Tamara a while back since she likes to be on her own a lot. We wanted to give her a place that was just hers. Kim picked out a nice one at Pet Smart and we brought it home for her. She ignored it. Over the process of a month, we moved it to every room in the place, hoping she might like one of the locations. She never even considered it.
About three weeks ago, we decided to give it to Billy, the dog, as a new chew toy. It wasn't being used, so we thought he'd enjoy a bit of mindless destruction. Right as we were walking it over to him, she came running into the living room, almost as if she knew what would happen. So, we gave her one more chance and put it down in the most arbitrary place, just whatever was closest. She immediately jumped in the bed and didn't leave it for a week.
The kicker: she went through a rough patch a couple of weeks ago and started throwing up. One of those times was in the bedding. The tag said machine washable, so we threw it in there. The pillow *exploded* in the washer (which was not fun to clean out, by the way) and ruined her bed.
So, we had to go out and buy her a second one.
