Sure. I think most of us (at least me and groiny for sure) are used to the "suburban" model where we can still leave near Chicago

That makes more sense. That didn't look like a "city" house but sure had the city prices. My commute is 1hr+ and I don't even make it to downtown -- nm

We've dismissed many of the suburban areas near us because the commute would be hellish. We'd need Leafs or Volts. -- nm

It's all a trade off, that's for sure. I get a bigger house but pay for the gas and time to get to work. -- nm
