the second part is there, sorta. But my mom in particular is convinced that people go to hell for that, and nothing can change her mind.

therefore, she gets very, very upset. And I am pretty sure she would not get over it. It's not that she makes demands. She is just so dramatic that I can't deal with it. She is difficult, yes. My dad shares her beliefs but is much more pragmatic about it. He is much more likely to say "I don't like it, but it's your life."
