from bb, we've talked here before (I have anyway ;p) about faster kids being underserved.

I went to schools that had some programs, but I know it wasn't enough for me (not bragging, I suck at so many other things, duh); and the thought that there are a whole lot of schools that don't do much of anything at all is sad.

and skipping grades without giving attention to the social stuff (see, also: part of my suckage) is such a disservice, too.

I know there are tradeoffs - of course, kids with learning disabilities, etc., need more attention; and budget issues are often a thing; but I'm not sure a whole lot of extra staff and cost are really needed, as a different approach would go a long way.
