Growing up, we called it "magnet programs." Some schools have them, and some don't.

I don't know that they cost all that much. It was basically just separating out the smartest kids into a separate group, or sometimes classroom.

LYC: I ultimately ended up sabotaging my opportunity at staying in my magnet program cause I didn't like the kids that were there. They were snobs and pricks.
