Android users: my coworker and I notice that a lot of apps open spontaneously after we've shut them down with ATK.

Any way to prevent this, short of uninstalling?

Some apps can't be shut down permanently or disabled. The best avenue is to get an App Killer. I use

I use that too, but they keep opening back up. I'm investigating the rooting option, but...

Are the apps hogging resources by being opened and closed frequently? If not just use the task killer and save the hassle of rooting the phone

some of them are set to reopen. like, if i kill weather channel, it reopens because the widget is still live. -- nm
