according to his blog it had been mentioned that he was offered one last game (or last kick) in the Falcons - Saints game last week, so he could become the oldest player to play an NFL game .. but he declined b/c he thought it would be selfish and unfair to to Blanda, since Blanda was playing every week when he set the record.
