help me out with this old warner bros(?) cartoon

used to see this on the bugs bunny show.

the bit opens with two characters trudging their way to work - carrying lunchboxes, etc.

they regard each other somewhat gruffly but collegially - they obviously know each other and have some rapport, and they chat a bit as they arrive at their "job" site and punch-it at the time clock.

a steam whistle blows, signifying the start of the work day. the two immediately go after each other, and spend most of the rest of the bit trying to kill each other.

at length, the end-of-day whistle blows and the two immediately stop - one has his hands around the other's throat, or something like this.

they punch out, exchange farewells, and go home for the day.

what are the two characters? i think they're animals of some sort - dog & cat? wolves? i remember the sketch vaguely but can't remember what the characters look like.
