it must be phone hell week. last friday Telus called me to ask why i hadn't made a payment since October.

i said "well, being as it's been automatically billed to my credit card for *10 YEARS*, you tell me why you haven't been paid since October."

she was all 'oh, really? well, you must have a new credit card number."

me: 'nope, it's been the same card for about 2 years, doesn't expire till 2010."

her: "Well, maybe it was over the limit."

me: "No, i assure you it is not. and are saying you tried for three months?"

she finally determined that, somehow, they had an extra digit in my expiry date and it wasn't processing. now, you tell me, how does that just *happen*?
