first, it was very difficult to even procure every month because i'm a woman of childbearing age. it was super expensive.
second, it can be tough on your organs, because not only is it drying out your acne-riffic glands, it's drying out everything else. you have to have blood tests every month to make sure your liver isn't going south. it also dries out your joints, which can lead to soreness (i felt it in my hips). my skin got red and dry (and is still way dryer than it ever used to be) but damn if i rarely have a zit anymore.
