Oh heck, do it the way we did when we got our boyfriend d'jour's class ring--wrap brightly colored yarn around the back until it fits.

build up bottom of ring with adhesive tape. wrap around bottom shank. -- nm

Another tip is take the ring in every 5 years to make sure the stones don't loosen up...

She did'nt lose the stones, just got tired of the old ring. Reset the diamonds in new ring. -- nm
