I can't figure out wher teh problem actually was, the stories are saying different things.

From the sounds of it the UAW agreed to take a pay cut to nonunion levels, but there was no agreement on the timetable for the cut...and that's what killed it.
But the tv and radio say it was the dispute over the wage cut...and leave it at that.
I don't like unions, but it sounds like they are being scapegoated.
