I'm not even bothering with the wider economic issues here or I'd be mentioning the millions of suppliers who depend on Detroit for their jobs.

This issue is Ford, GM & Chrysler are economically doomed to fail under current situations.
Now, why could that be?
Cuz they're paying a 300-400% markup on basic jobs becuase a union threatened to strike (and shut down the companies anyhow) if they didn't pay up.
End of the day, those min-wage people are paying out into the economy cuz we all gotta eat. And here's the fun part; they're doing so and the company is saving money and doesn't need the billions in aid.
