I don't know what the rule is but we tried this once on LivingSocial.

We earned a free popcorn for the tickets based on their face value. I'm not sure if that is the way it's supposed to work or a mistake, though.
The only problem we had was that the Fandango kiosk wouldn't print our tickets. We had to go to the manager's help desk the first time. The second time, we printed off of Fandango.com and the barcode scanner had no problem recognizing the tickets. If you're already in the habit of printing your tickets at home, I think you'll find the process seamless.
