Bery, there's few convertible netbooks. HP makes a bargain version of Kilbo's Elite, but after mine died, I can no longer recommend it. (more)

Asus is the closest thing to a reliable maker of netbooks that converts into tablets right now. I believe the T101 is the current model and it's under $500. So that's it if you want to buy *right now*. There really is nothing else on the market.
Alternatives not exactly in the right market are an iPad with a case/keyboard such as the PADACS Toccata iPad Keyboard Case.
What I would really *STRONGLY* recommend would be the upcoming Dell Inspiron tablet. It may just be vaporware, or may cost a fortune, but I'm optimistic (even optimistic that it will be out before Christmas). I want this thing *SO BADLY*.
