First run (well jog/walk) report.

Used the Runkeeper app on the iPhone to track it. One good thing is that one full lap around the neighborhood is about 0.8 miles so four laps will be about a 5K, which is convenient.

My biggest problem was my knees and ankles. Cardiovascular didn't become an issue at the pace I was going, but I had to walk when my knees and ankles hurt too much. I was able to jog lap 1, but I had to start mixing walking and jogging lap 2, and lap 3 I decided to take the short cut instead of going all the way around.

I did 2.34 miles (3.77 km) in 36:09.

When I do cardio at the gym, I've been using the elliptical exclusively so far. If I want to run, I guess I should probably start mixing the treadmill into that, which still isn't the same as running exactly, but should be closer than the elliptical. Maybe do treadmill until my knees and ankles hurt and then switch over to the elliptical to make sure I get enough cardio.
