In Quebec, the cabane au sucre, or sugar shack is a big thing to do in winter. You go to a log cabin in the woods are are served "traditional" hearty one-menu-for-everyone Quebec winter foods - which involve a lot of pig.
To accommodate Muslim customers, some sugar shacks have been reducing the amount of pig in the menu - like serving pea soup instead of pea and ham soup.
Result: outcry some people who saw Muslim diets impacting on a Quebec tradition
