There ahve been times where they'll have 5 games series that take 2 weeks to finish.

that's absurd in any manner.
7 games series in hockey/bkball should be at most 15 days long. every other day, 2 days in between travel. That's it.
NBA 5 games series taking that long to get 3 weekends in a series is a discgrace.
